Well I gave hunting one more try yesterday, before rifle season ended, and had huge success! Not only did I kill a 130lb doe at 7:30 am, but an hour and a half later I got a 170lb 4 point with a sixteen inch spread too! Apparently it is pretty unusual for a hunter to get two deer from the same stand in the same morning. I had the best time! I was so excited! You can only imagine how pumped by dear husband was sitting next to me! Believe it or not, I think I'm hooked! I know most of my friends don't like to see these kind of pictures so I only posted one. Sorry but I'm so excited I couldn't help it!

Good for you! I guess ya'll will be having lots of deer burger, deer spaghetti, deer chili, deer steaks, and deer sausage. What's even better? You got to spend quality time with the hubby! I went hunting with Cory twice. Us Weekly went with us!

Yay Melissa!! My brother killed an 8 point yesterday. This makes me want to go hunting sooo bad. :) I have only hunted one time in my life and it was squrriel hunting, but I ended up killing a bird. Ha! Anywho......Congrats on 2 deer in one hunt! :)
Looks like you had so much fun! I admire you for getting out there with the boys and showing them what you can do. I have never been brave enough to go hunting. How exciting!

so, did you have to do the famed smearing blood on your face to get you into the "seasoned" hunter club that I have heard about?
