A sign of '09?

I certainly hope the first four days of 2009 are not a sign of our year to come. Morgan woke up Thursday morning with a stomach bug that is still hanging around three days later. My poor baby can't keep anything down! Gene has gone to get a prescription for Zofran filled. Hopefully it will help. On top of that, when I took her to the doctor Friday they discovered that she had another bladder infection. Two weeks ago she had some test run (nightmare) to check her kidneys and they checked to see if she had bladder reflux by filling her bladder with dye and watching with ultrasound to see if it leaked back up towards her kidneys. Her kidneys are fine but she does have bladder reflux. On a scale of 1-4 her's is a three. This is the reason for her frequent infections. Usually this heals on its own by age two. However, she is two and a half and is just now having trouble.... We are waiting to find out when our appointment is with the pediatric urologist at UMC. Dr. Fairchild refered her two weeks ago but we are still waiting to hear. She is on an antibiotic everyday until we see the urologist but it doesn't seem to be working. Please keep her in your prayers!

On a happier note... We had a great holiday! We stayed busy visiting family, playing with new toys, baking ( I learned to make homemade cinnamon rolls), and trying to clean-up (which is still a work in progress!). My parents were great and kept the kids for a weekend so Gene and I could have some much needed alone time! We ate sushi (of course) and also ate at Biaggi's for the first time. It was great! We also went to see Twilight and Seven Pounds. I'm on book three of the Twilight series which is sooo good. I don't normally do vampires stuff but these are an exception. Even Gene liked the movie. Seven Pounds was good too but very sad. Later in the week we took the boys to see Bedtime Stories which was fabulous. Adam Sandler should do more family movies!
I'm posting a few pics from Christmas of the kids. I promise to update more now that the craziness is slowing down!

My parents got each boy a pellet/BB gun. They were so excited and ready to go squirrel hunting! However, they were a little sad that they had to leave their guns in Papa's gun safe. Mama is very greatful!

Morgan got lots of baby doll stuff and a Little People Princess Castle, but she was most proud that she left Santa her pullups with his milk and cinnamon roll. She was so excited to find that he left her big girl panties in their place! We are so proud of her! She is doing fabulous!

Trevor's expression says it all! They were psyched to open Rock Band! So was Daddy! Trevor was also excited about his Nintendo DS.

Peyton loves Spike! I have to admit I was unsure about such an expensive remote control dinosaur. However, he is awesome and well worth it! He is very durable and tons of fun!

Bless Morgan's heart. That has to be miserable to keep having those bladder infections, especially when trying to be a big girl and use the potty.
