Yesterday was so nice that we decided to make a stop at the park. The kids, all four of them, had a great time! Gene couldn't resist trying to jump out of the swing like he used to in the good old days. Needless to say, his first attempt ended with him face planted in the rubber chips. Hilarious! So sad I didn't have the camera on. His later attempts were successful but he was a little more cautious! Of course Trevor couldn't resist trying too! Peyton was sporting his "100" wiggly eyes for the 100th day of school. Now that it is Saturday it is cold and wet outside so it looks like we're stuck inside! Hope eveyone has a great weekend!

Success!

Well I gave hunting one more try yesterday, before rifle season ended, and had huge success! Not only did I kill a 130lb doe at 7:30 am, but an hour and a half later I got a 170lb 4 point with a sixteen inch spread too! Apparently it is pretty unusual for a hunter to get two deer from the same stand in the same morning. I had the best time! I was so excited! You can only imagine how pumped by dear husband was sitting next to me! Believe it or not, I think I'm hooked! I know most of my friends don't like to see these kind of pictures so I only posted one. Sorry but I'm so excited I couldn't help it!

Tag I'm It

So I've been tagged to find the 6th picture in the 6th folder on my computer!

In this picture the boys, Trevor newly four and Peyton almost two, were playing outside. When I peeked out the window to check on them this is what I found! Apparently it is tons of fun to boys to throw wet sand and mud at your brother. Poor Peyton caught the worst of it when his big brother dumped a bucket full on his head! It was so funny I couldn't get mad! I had to include Morgan so I found this pic of her around the same time in the same folder. This is my friend Tina and I at Peyton's second birthday party. We were both very pregnant but as always she still looks great!

I had not realized until I read a comment today about Morgan's potty training, that I have been changing diapers for almost seven years! Wow! I can't believe it has been that long. The time seems to be flying by! Honestly though, I don't think I will miss it at all! I do wish time would slow down a bit though. I'm not ready for my baby to turn seven in April. He got his report card today and has All A's. Peyton got his too and has mastered so much! We are so proud! I'm so glad they got their Daddy's brains!

Boy this post is random! I think most everybody has been tagged already but if you haven't.... TAG you're it!

Deer, Ribbons, and the Potty

For some reason, that I can't explain, something made me decide that I wanted to go hunting. I grew up with a Dad who hunts religiously and I married a hunter as well! Until now I have never had even the slightest interest. Much to my dear husband's delight, I told him last week that I wanted to give it a try. He wasted no time in getting me to his Dad's to shoot. I think I did a pretty good job! I never missed the plate and hit the bulls-eye twice! After that he decided I was ready, so off to the woods we trudged. Me in my borrowed camo trying not to make too much noise in boots too big for me and him very patiently holding branches for me so I didn't trip and scare off any critters. So as not to drag this out...I may try to hunt but still don't see the point in the second by second recalls... we tried twice this weekend with no luck. I couldn't believe how nice it was, despite only seeing two does, to just sit, be still in peace and quiet, and enjoy being with my wonderful husband! I can't wait to go back, even if all I do is sit with him!

Today was the district reading fair. Both boys got to go and were so excited! I've posted a few pics of our day. It was a long, long, long day for all three of us but Trevor did come away with third place in the 1st grade category! Peyton was a little disappointed but soon cheered up when I told him I would buy him a Sonic Java Chiller. (I know...but he loves them!)

Peyton was so excited to ride on a school bus for the first time! He loved it!

He patiently waited (okay patiently for the only Pre-K student there) for 50 minutes for the judges to interview him.

Some of the boards set up in the City Auditorium

Beechwood's first grade winners - Mary-Bradley (2nd place), Trevor (3rd Place), and Robert (4th place)
Morgan has moved up to the next class at school and is doing great! She is doing soo much better with peeing in the potty since her new friends are potty training too. Doing "the other" however is still a work in progress! We will keep working! Whoever said that girls were easier than boys to train didn't have a Morgan! Now I'm off to cook and clean so the kids can get in bed early and I can read some more Twilight!

Southern Belle in the Making

Last night our little Southern Belle did a first of which her Southern parents are so proud! She said, "I want to eat with ya'll." That's right... her first ya'll! I knew all my Southern friends would understand the excitement!

She has not gotten sick since yesterday evening! Horray! She is feeling much better. Thank you for all your prayers. We are truly blessed with Christian, praying friends!
