We do still exist!

What a month month April/May are turning out to be! I can't believe we only have two weeks of school left. This year has flown by! Don't get me wrong though, I can't wait for summer break! I left my camera at work so I can't post any new pictures but here's a quick run down of the past month.

*I turned the BIG 3-0! It wasn't nearly as devestating as I had been told. Maybe it's because we are so busy that I didn't have time to think about it. It was a great birthday though! We spent the weekend at the baseball field and went out for hibachi and sushi to celebrate! Trevor's team won the championship game making it an even better weekend!

* Rec season is almost over for both boys. Peyton has had a great time and is already turning into a good little ball player! He hasn't had to hit off the tee the whole season and hits it farther than most kids on his team even though he is one of the youngest! Trevor continues to get better and sometimes amazes me with some of the plays he makes. Morgan can't wait to turn four and play softball!

* Trevor passed the GATES test and will be in the gifted program next year in second grade. He has also made us very proud of his reading ability/desire. This nine weeks he read two 4.7 (fourth grade seventh month) chapter books on his own and made a 100 on both tests!

*Peyton has done a great job mastering the skills in Pre-K! We have been so proud of him! His teacher has been great. I just hope he isn't too bored next year in Kindergarten! He is such a sweetheart too! Watch out ladies! He's going to be a heartbreaker! We are also planning his fifth birthday party! Can you believe it!

*Morgan is definitely in full swing of the terrible two's! Sometime's I wonder where this child came from. Then the next minute she gives me that adorable smile and says the cutest thing and I melt all over again. She loves to sing songs that she is learning in chapel at school and at church. She also loves to sing them at the top of her lungs, usually in the graocery store! She is still girly but super tough! I guess she has no choice but to be with two older brothers! I feel sorry for any boy that tries to mess with her. Her brothers already try to fight anybody bothering her!

I guess that's enough for now. I'll post pictures soon! We are off this weekend to Hattiesburg for a family reunionand then tournaments the next four weekends. However, with school letting out soon hopefully I'll be able to post more often!

Birthdays, Bunnies, and Bears...Oh My

We have had such a busy week! We have really been enjoying our Spring Break though! I'll try to keep the update short since I have so many pictures posted!

We continued to celebrate Trevor's birthday last Friday night at Nana's. I accidently picked up magic candles instead of regular. It turned out to be hilarious though since Trevor had never seen "trick" candles before!

Our friends The Andrew's joined us for the party and egg dying. The kids had a great time dying eggs! For the record - mixing a pink, a blue, and a green tablet together in the same cup is not pretty! It turns out looking like.... well lets just say green mud (to put it nicely).

The kids wasted no time in cracking their eggs at the church Easter Egg Hunt Saturday to see what candy they got! Sunday we had a great worship service at church then went to Nana's for lunch and an egg hunt. After the kids found all the eggs, they hid them for the grown-ups! Who knew adults could move so fast to snatch a plastic egg!

Monday, Mom, Melanie, and I took the kids to the Jackson Zoo. We had a great time and the weather was perfect!

Happy Birthday Trevor!

I can't believe that my baby is seven years old today! A couple of months ago he told me that he didn't want to have a birthday party. Instead he wanted to take some friends to the M-Braves and have a sleepover. Everything worked out so that the kids are out of school today (Trevor's actual birthday) for Good Friday and last night was the M-Braves season opener. The boys had a great time and were very proud to have stayed up till midnight! They just finished their chocolate chip pancakes and are waiting on me to finish this post so they can rock out on Guitar Hero! More on the birthday boy later!

In case you can't read his shirt is says, " I'm so good even your girlfriend comes to watch me play!" My Mom got it for him and he loves it!

Baseball, Baseball, and More Baseball

Our crazy time of year has begun! It is officially baseball season! Yeah! I can't believe my baby is now old enough to play real baseball! Last night was Peyton's first game. He loved it! Of course the game was hilarious because they are 4 and 5 year olds. If you can imagine, there were 16 little boys dressed as Saint Louis Cardinals lined up between first and third bases ready to take on the Chicago Cubs! As soon as a ball was actually hit a sea of red attacked it! So much fun! Peyton smacked his first pitch over the line of Cubs into the outfield. He was so excited as he ran the bases! I was so proud!

The unfun of having two playing is that they occasionally have games scheduled at the same time. Which is what happened last night. Trevor's rec team, the Arizona Diamondbacks, played last night too. He was excited to get to try different positions during the game and made some great plays! They lost 9-7 but his highlight was hitting his second "in-the-park" homerun in three days! His tournament team played in West Monroe this weekend and came in second. He got his first homerun ever there on Saturday!

Morgan is the teams' cheerleader. Although she is only two and a half, she already has a thing for boys in baseball uniforms! She will ease her way over to watch the older boys warm-up and say "Mommy, I just need to talk to these boys for a minute." And they usually come over and talk to her! What am I going to do?!?!?! Don't tell her Daddy. He missed the games this weekend because he was on call so he dosen't know about that yet! SSHHH! He would die!

Twins?

People have always stopped us in the store and asked if our boys were twins. I've always smiled and politely said no they are two years apart, while in my head I am screaming "You idiot! One is like a foot taller than the other! Are you serious?!?!" Now... I'm starting to see it. I took Peyton to get a hair cut, or should I say trim, yesterday. He climbed up in the chair like a big boy and told the lady "I want my hair cut like my brothers." Now, I've been teasing him that I was going to shave his head for a while so that I could cut it at home and he has always said no way. What got into him today I have no idea but I watched my baby age by about two years in about two minutes! I love his haircut but I almost cried! Of course Trevor hates it because everybody keeps saying AWWW Ya'll look like twins. Brothers! Gotta love them!

And of course I had to include the diva in her heels and posh pooch!

My babies are growing up too fast! Where does the time go?
